Malott closes out regular season as CL Player of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Crossroads League announced its athletes of the week with HU's Jordan Malott amongst the honorees. The sophomore first baseman was the key cog offensively for the Foresters having hit .615 in the four-game series against Marian this past weekend.

Malott went 8-for-13 from the plate which included a pair of doubles and two three-run homeruns. He finished with ten RBI on the week, scored five times and was perfect in stolen bases with two.

The Foresters picked up a 3-1 series win over the Knights to close out the regular season with a record of 29-19. In league play, Huntington posted a 23-13 record to earn the fourth seed in the conference tournament slated to begin later this week. Malott and crew will take on 3rd-seeded Saint Francis on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Taylor University.
