Reinartz’s Big Week Earns Conference Honors

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Freshman Tanner Reinartz of the #25 Forester baseball team has been named the Crossroads League Baseball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier this afternoon.

Reinartz turned in another monster week at the plate, anchoring the heart of Huntington's lineup while leading the Foresters to a perfect 6-0 record. The rookie racked up a .455 batting average behind 10 hits, which included three home runs, four doubles and a triple.

The rookie right fielder drove in 11 runs and crossed the plate eight times, consistently delivering in big moments including a tenth inning game-winning homerun in Saturday's win over Grace. It marks the second weekly honor this spring for Reinartz, who continues to be one of the most dangerous bats in the league.

Huntington currently sits at 30-9 overall and 20-8 in Crossroads League play, good for third in the conference standings. Reinartz and the Foresters will step out of league action Tuesday when they host the Manchester Spartans for a single nine-inning game beginning at 5:00 p.m.
