Bio

Ryne Wheeler enters his second season as a graduate assistant with the Huntington baseball program. He assists in all aspects of the program, with a primary focus on offense.

Wheeler joined the coaching staff following a collegiate career that spanned four seasons, including his final three years at Huntington. After beginning his career at the University of Rio Grande, he transferred to HU where he gained valuable experience both behind the plate and at first base while helping the Foresters compete in the Crossroads League.

During his time in Forester Green, Wheeler recorded 42 hits, including nine home runs, over his final two seasons. He enjoyed a productive 2024 campaign at the plate, batting .347. Defensively, he proved to be a dependable presence, committing just two errors during his Huntington career for a .994 fielding percentage while totaling 332 putouts and turning nine double plays.

Wheeler is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Huntington University.
