Bio
Thad Frame enters his fifth season as head coach the HU baseball program after being named Huntington’s 12th head coach in 2022. A longtime fixture of Forester baseball, Frame succeeded his father, Mike Frame, and continues to elevate the program to unprecedented heights.
Under Frame's leadership, Huntington has enjoyed one of the most successful stretches in program history. In his first season at the helm, the Foresters set a then-school record with 38 wins before surpassing that mark with 39 victories last spring. That historic 2026 campaign saw HU rewrite the record books with five new team season records and five individual season records while earning the program's first berth to the NAIA National Championship since 2019.
During Frame’s tenure, the Foresters have collected three All-America honors and 24 All-Conference awards. His athletes have also captured some of the Crossroads League's highest accolades, including Graham Kollen as the 2023 Pitcher of the Year, RJ Anglin as the 2024 Newcomer of the Year, Owen Willard as the program's first-ever Crossroads League Player of the Year in 2026, and Grant Simmons as the 2026 Crossroads League Pitcher of the Year.
The four-year starting shortstop for the Foresters, Frame earned two All-Conference honors and was recognized as a preseason NAIA All-American in 2007. Following his playing career, he spent 13 seasons on the coaching staff, including service as associate head coach, before taking over the program.
Frame's coaching experience extends beyond Huntington. He has served as an assistant coach at Miami University, worked with the Carolina Chaos of the Southern League, and spent three summers developing hitters in the highly competitive Northwoods Collegiate Summer League.
In addition to leading the baseball program, Frame serves as Huntington University's Assistant Athletic Director for Operations. He earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Huntington in 2009. He and his wife, Krystle, reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
