Another Week, Another Award for Johnson

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – After earning back-to-back Crossroads League Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honors in November, senior Kaden Johnson added another accolade to his resume, being named the league's Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the Crossroads League national office earlier today.

Johnson anchored the defense for (RV) Huntington in upset victories over No. 4 Arizona Christian and No. 13 Hope International, averaging 15.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal per game across the two contests. The senior post recorded double-digit rebounds in both games, highlighted by a dominant performance against Arizona Christian where he pulled down 15 boards while adding two steals and a block.

With the pair of wins, the Foresters improved to 10-3 on the season, including five victories over Top-20 opponents. Huntington returns to Platt Arena on New Year's Eve to host Lawrence Tech with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 181 NAIA All-America honors and 631 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
