Johnson Lands on Inaugural NABC NAIA All-Region Team

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Senior standout Kaden Johnson has added another major accolade to his resume, earning a spot on the inaugural NABC NAIA All-Region Team as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The 6-11 forward was one of just 15 players selected to the North Region, solidifying his place among the NAIA's elite after a dominant senior campaign for Huntington University.

Johnson, a native of Hartford, Michigan, turned in a breakout season while averaging a double-double of 17.2 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. A force on both ends of the floor, he also dished out 2.6 assists and recorded 1.1 blocks per contest.

His impact didn't go unnoticed in the Crossroads League, where he was named First Team All-League and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. In just two seasons wearing Forester green, Johnson amassed 717 points and 502 rebounds, leaving a lasting mark on the program.

Behind Johnson's leadership, the Foresters put together an impressive 22-9 record this season, including a 12-6 mark in league play to finish third in the Crossroads League standings. The team also secured its fifth straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament and hosted the opening rounds for the second consecutive year.

In the past decade, Huntington has produced 181 NAIA All-America honors and 631 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
