Bio

Mitchell Wilson returned to his alma mater in the summer of 2025 as the full-time assistant coach for the Forester men’s basketball program.
 
Working under newly appointed head coach Jared Jauch, Wilson oversees player development, coordinates opponent scouting and analytics, and serves as the team’s defensive coordinator. He also plays a key role in academic oversight, fundraising, community engagement and recruiting.
 
Wilson joins the HU coaching staff after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Nevada under head coach Steve Alford. While with the Wolf Pack, he was instrumental in several areas including player development, scouting, video analysis and game-day operations. During his tenure, he helped coach two All-Mountain West players.
 
A standout at Columbia City High School, Wilson made his mark as the program’s all-time leading scorer before continuing his playing career at HU. As a Forester, he helped lead the team to three NAIA National Tournament appearances, including two trips to the Round of 32. He served as a two-year team captain and was honored as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. In addition to basketball, Wilson competed on the HU men’s golf team and earned All-League recognition in 2024.
 
Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Huntington University in 2024.
