Bio

Douglas Appiah Kubi serves as the Graduate Assistant for the Huntington University men's soccer program, where he plays an integral role in the daily operations and continued development of the Foresters. In addition to assisting with reruiting efforts and the planning, organization, and execution of training sessions, his focus is player development, game day operations and managing the program's social media presence.

As a native of Accra, Ghana, Kubi also serves as a mentor and resource for the program's international student-athletes, helping them successfully transition to campus life and collegiate athletics.

Kubi joined the Foresters after an accomplished collegiate playing career that began at Indiana Tech. During his three seasons with the Warriors, he helped lead the program to three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament championships while totaling 13 goals and six assists. He also earned Second Team All-WHAC honors and recognition on the WHAC All-Academic Team. 

He concluded his playing career at HU as a graduate student, where his leadership, work ethic and consistency in the midfield earned him Honorable Mention All-League recognition. Kubi earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Indiana Tech in 2025. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Huntington and is expected to graduate in the summer of 2027.
