Showdown favors #17 Grace
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The #21 Huntington men's tennis team suffered their first loss of the season, 6-1, in a showdown with #17 Grace Saturday afternoon at Klopfenstein Courts. It was a high-stakes match with the top spot in the league on the line as both teams came into the match undefeated.
Valentin Mussi earned HU's only point of the day by topping Luis Cordoba in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3, in #5 singles. The Lancers, in the lasts few seasons, have held the upper hand as today's win was their sixth straight over the Foresters.
Huntington (8-1, 7-1) is taking a break from league play to host Manchester on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
