Four Foresters named All-League

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The HU men's tennis team was well-represented on the 2023-24 All-Conference line-up as four of the 15 members were Foresters.

Mateo Ameller collected his third consecutive All-Conference badge in green and white. Playing mainly at #3 singles this fall, he registered a 5-2 record while boasting a 10-1 in that same spot in doubles action.  

Also recognized as one of the best in the league was Agustin Agosto who repeats as an All-Conference honoree. He claimed a 10-4 record in singles, having played multiple spots, while typically competing at the No. 1 spot in doubles action where he went 7-4.  

Valentin Mussi also earned his second All-League piece of hardware. He finished 10-2 in singles with his first loss coming at ITA Regionals. He teamed up with Agosto at #1 doubles to also card a 7-4 record.

Making his debut in the Crossroads League this fall, Andres Jimenez was tabbed All-League. Having played primarily at #1 or #2 singles, he posted a 5-6 record. Doubles play saw him carry a 9-5 record this season.

The Foresters racked up nine wins against two losses this season which included a 7-1 record in CL action to finish second in the league standings for the second straight season.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 154 NAIA All-America honors and 501 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
