(10) Foresters Sweep (RV) Goshen, Stand Alone Atop Crossroads League

GOSHEN, Ind. - The No. 10 Huntington men's tennis team continued its dominant run through Crossroads League play Tuesday afternoon with a 7–0 sweep over #RV Goshen College on the road at the newly dedicated Stan King Tennis Complex.

The victory carried added significance, as the Foresters handed the Maple Leafs their first conference loss of the season while extending their own winning streak to seven matches. Huntington has also now won six straight against Goshen, with its last loss in the series dating back to October of 2019.

Huntington set the tone early by securing the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Julian Tantera and Javier Lopez Real earned a 7–5 victory at the top spot, while Pablo Lopez Real and Martin Capdevilla matched that scoreline with a 7–5 win at No. 2.

From there, Huntington took full control, sweeping all six singles matches to complete the shutout.

At No. 1, Tantera battled through a competitive match, coming from behind to win 4-6, 6-2, 10-4. Capdevilla posted a strong performance at No. 2 (7-5, 6-1), while Santiago Sarudiansky continued his consistent play by also posting a straight-set win at No. 3.

The rest of the matches were also straight set wins to secure the sweep. With the win, the Foresters (15-3) remain unbeaten in Crossroads League action at 6-0 and continue to position themselves as the top team in the conference.

Huntington is back on the road this Saturday to Spring Arbor, with the match set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
