Bio
Keaton Albert enters his second season as head coach of the Huntington University women’s soccer program and is the ninth head coach in the program’s history since its inception in 1997.
Albert made an immediate impact in his debut season, guiding the Foresters to their highest win total since 2017. His first year also featured the program’s first First Team All-League selection under his leadership in Sophie Shepherd, along with 12 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. The Foresters also earned the department’s Academic Excellence Award after posting a 3.64 team GPA, the highest among all HU athletic programs during the 2025-26 academic year.
Albert arrived at Huntington following a successful six-year stint as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the men’s soccer program at Indiana Wesleyan University. There, he played a key role in recruitment and player development, helping sustain the Wildcats’ consistent success in one of the NAIA’s premier conferences.
Prior to his time at IWU, Albert served as Pre-Academy Coach for North Carolina Football Club Youth, focusing on foundational player development and long-term growth within the club system.
A former standout in the Crossroads League, Albert played at Indiana Wesleyan from 2012-15, making more than 80 appearances while recording 26 goals and 26 assists for 78 career points. He was a key contributor to three Crossroads League championship teams and earned multiple individual honors, including 2015 Crossroads League Player of the Year, 2014 Offensive Player of the Year, and two NAIA and NCCAA All-America selections.
Albert earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Christian Ministries from Indiana Wesleyan University and holds a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Wesleyan. In addition to his coaching duties, he serves as an on-campus counselor at HU.
