HU Knocks Off Cedarville in 4–3 Thriller

Huntington, Ind.- The Huntington University women's tennis team opened strong in doubles and carried that momentum into singles play to notch a 4–3 win over NCAA Division II foe Cedarville on Saturday at Klopfenstein Courts.

The Foresters claimed two of three doubles courts to secure the opening point. At the top spot, Yariange Bello and Addison Mast teamed up for a 6–4 win, while the pairing of Ashley Bucur and Coby Sander clinched No. 3 doubles with a 6–4 decision.

In singles play, HU picked up straight-set victories from Mast (6–1, 6–1), Bello (6–4, 6–2), and Bucur (6–0, 6–0). The Foresters nearly added another point at No. 3 singles, where Tiziana Rizzato pushed her match to a super tiebreak before falling 11–13.

With the early doubles point and three singles wins, Huntington (3-1) secured the 4–3 triumph to avenge a similar 4-3 loss to the Yellow Jackets last season, marking another hard-fought result for the Foresters in their fall campaign.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 181 NAIA All-America honors and 631 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
