Herrera Secures Second Career CL Weekly Honor
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Crossroads League officials announced earlier today that senior Isabella Herrera has been named the Crossroads League Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Herrera helped the Foresters turn in a strong showing at Lawrence Tech despite a narrow 4-3 team setback. Competing at the top of the lineup, the senior secured a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles and added a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
This marks the second Crossroads League weekly honor of Herrera's career in Forester green.
Huntington, currently receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll, sits at 4-4 on the year and will travel to University of Indianapolis on Saturday for their next test.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 181 NAIA All-America honors and 631 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
