HU Tops (RV) Bethel to Wrap Up Time in Tennessee

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The #RV Huntington women's tennis team headed to Tennessee over spring break where they went 2–1 at the Bethel Invitational.

The Foresters opened with a 4–2 loss to #20 Morningside on Tuesday, dropping all three doubles matches while picking up singles wins from Ashley Bucur and Sofia Kurshinskaia

Coach Kreg Eckert's crew finished the week strong by bouncing back on Wednesday with a 5–0 sweep over Tennessee Southern. HU won all three doubles matches and four singles contests before stoppage of play with strong performances from Isabella Herrera, Tiziana Rizzato, Bucur, Yariange Bello, and Kurshinskaia.

The Foresters closed their time in the Volunteer State with a tight 4–3 victory over #RV Bethel (TN), dropping the doubles point but making up for it in singles action by taking four of the six matches to earn the team win.

With this stretch of matches, Huntington moves to 6–6 on the year. The Foresters return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Cumberlands in Kentucky to take on the Patriots at 1:00 p.m.
