Herrera, Bello Earn All-League Honors for Foresters

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Huntington women's tennis team placed a pair of standouts on the Crossroads League All-League squad, led by senior Isabella Herrera, who collects her third straight all-conference honor. The Bucaramanga, Colombia native once again anchored the Foresters at the top spot, finishing 4-5 in league play at No. 1 singles while going 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Joining her is junior transfer Yariange Bello, who made an immediate impact in her first season in green and white. Competing primarily at No. 2 singles, the Caracas, Venezuela native posted a 5-4 record in conference play and teamed up with Herrera to form one of the league's top doubles duos, combining for a 6-2 mark at the top flight.

As a team, Huntington hovered on the national radar all season, receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll while finishing 13-12 overall and 6-3 in Crossroads League action to secure a fourth-place regular season finish. The Foresters carried that momentum into postseason play, advancing to the conference tournament semifinals.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 181 NAIA All-America honors and 631 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
