Wiley tabbed NAIA National Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Freshman Addy Wiley kicked off her outdoor track season with a bang last week and for her efforts was tabbed the NAIA National Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

In her outdoor debut as a Forester at Drake Relays, she finished third in the 1500 meters in 4:12.53 to set a new all-time NAIA record. Her competition included all professionals except one other college athlete. A few days prior she ran unattached in the USATF Road Mile Championships where she finished third in 4:31.

Today's NAIA national weekly honor is Wiley's fifth of the year. Her resume also includes two from indoor season and two from cross country season.

Additionally, Wiley garnered M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week honors at the NAIA level as announced by the USTFCCCA yesterday. She is the first female athlete from Huntington to be named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week during the outdoor season.
